WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: 8 AWESOME Benefits of eating Avocados!

Here is something y'all probably didn't know about me... I LOVE Avocados! Like really Love them! I eat them on almost everything and by themselves. I use avocado shampoo/conditioner and lotion. I love the smell and would so buy an avocado air freshener if there was one. Avocados has many benefits to your health and beauty that you'll want to eat them everyday.

1. Rich in nutrients
Avocados are an incredibly rich source of nutrients and offer nearly 20 vitamins and minerals in every serving. We all need our vitamins, right?

2. Manage your weight
A study has shown that eating just half an avocado with lunch helps overweight people feel satisfied  and full for longer after eating.

3. Prevent Diabetes
Avocados help regulate blood sugar levels, which reduces the risk of diabetes.

4. Eye Health
A study has shown that avocados are the best source of Lutein and Zeaxanthin, which is good for your eye health!

5. Skin & Hair
With healthy fats and inflammation fighting properties, avacados can give you smooth skin and shiny hair. One avocado contains over 20% of your daily dose of vitamin E- this helps prevent the effect of aging.

6. Strong Bones
Avocados contain a good-helping bone-healthy nutrients including vitamin K, copper, and folate.

7. Pain Relief
Avocado extract has been proven to reduce symptoms of arthritis of the bones. Because it's inflammatory benefits, it may even relieve inflammatory-related aches and pains as well.

8. Important for expecting Moms
Avocados are loaded with folate, potassium, vitamin C and vitamin B6. Folate plays a role in healthy development of the fetus in early pregnancy, while vitamin B6 helps with the baby's tissue and brain growth AND it eases morning sickness!

No wonder why they call avocados a super food! Some of the other benefits are, digestion improvement, blood pressure control, boots of energy, immune improvement, enhances your mood, brain food, and avocados are very versatile and just taste delicious. [BLT with avocado is my favorite!]

One of my favorite shampoo/conditioners with avocado in it is, Garnier Whole Blends-Avocado oil and Shea Butter. And my favorite lotion is ST. Ives Daily Hydrating- with vitamin E and Avocado. I highly recommend these.

Unfortunately, I am the only one in my household who likes avocados... Maybe that's why I've got more brains thank anyone in my household. LOL. I will get my daughter to love them, mark my words.

Ready? Set... GO EAT AVOCADOS AND BE HEALTHY!

Married To A Mechanic: 8 things to expect. 🔧

Since I've started blogging, I've only blogged about my husband personally like once or twice, so this is dedicated to my mechanic husband. Erich has been working on cars since he was about 14 years old, so 20 years. He does it for a living but on diesels. He does it in hi spare time as well so basically, all the freaking time. Here's what to expect if you date a mechanic. Car Talk Mechanics talk about cars like 24/7; Parts, make and model, they even try to explain to you how certain parts work. If you tell them you don't understand, they will explain again, in depth with more detail, which is even more confusing. Either go on Google and learn a little bit or pretend you understand what they are talking about. Oil & Grease White anything is against any mechanics beliefs. I have to clean the walls, counters, appliances, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING at minimum of 3 times a week. They are usually covered from head to toe in oil and grease. Honestly, I thin

Spring Time Means Allergies!

Sprint time is the worst season for me. I hate this season honestly. My allergies are horrible during spring, like when I say horrible, I mean face swollen, constant nose blowing. The whole awful nine yards. Just the other day, I swear I sneezed about a million and one times and then lost my voice. We just moved into a house that had ben vacant for two months before we moved in, so there was two months of dust accumulated on the floors and walls. Needless to say, my first day in our new house consisted of a lot of sneezing and wheezing. Since spring is just around the corner and that means so are allergies, I made a list of home remedies for allergy relief that has really helped me and hopefully will help you too.
