My "Mom Look".

Definition of "Mom Look": The look of a mom who is just too tired or in a hurry that she dresses more for comfort rather than for look.

So I have noticed how much my style has changed since before I got pregnant. I use to dress with accessories and always did my hair and makeup. Once I got pregnant, that slowly started to fade. The bigger I got, the less I cared. lol I don't dress atrocious or anything, I just don't put too much effort into it. I am just now getting back into dressing a little better.

When I brought my daughter home, yoga pants and tank tops were my best friends. That's pretty much all I wore. I know I didn't put jeans on for like the first 2 months of her life. Just seemed like too much effort, especially knowing that I was probably going to get puked on anyways. lol

I didn't sleep much (2 to 3 hours a night, maybe) when she was a newborn. I mean who really does? I was past the point of just "too tired" to wear "real" clothes so, I didn't.
But, I am now giving my Mom Look more effort. Sorta...I don't wear yoga pants anymore. That's a step in the right direction right? I still pretty much wear tank tops all the time but I think it's appropriate to use the excuse, "It's summer time".

I made a change to make my mom look easily achievable. I recently chopped the majority of my long hair off. My hair was just so thick and hard to take care of with a newborn because of the fact that it was so thick. I was hesitant about doing it because I had been growing it for 4 years but it was definitely the right thing to do.

4 Months ago, my mom look consisted of, Yoga pants and tank tops everyday, slippers, thick messy bun and a tired looking face.

Today, my mom look consists of Jean shorts and tank tops, sandals, shoulder length A-Line haircut and a very well hidden tired looking face.

Even though I don't dress like I use to over a year ago, I feel better. You can definitely dress for comfort and still look good.

Why am I blogging at 7:30 A.M. you ask?
Because my daughter woke me up at 3, 3:30, 4:15, 4:30, 5:30 and 5:45, and I have been up ever since.
I am tired.

Married To A Mechanic: 8 things to expect. 🔧

Since I've started blogging, I've only blogged about my husband personally like once or twice, so this is dedicated to my mechanic husband. Erich has been working on cars since he was about 14 years old, so 20 years. He does it for a living but on diesels. He does it in hi spare time as well so basically, all the freaking time. Here's what to expect if you date a mechanic. Car Talk Mechanics talk about cars like 24/7; Parts, make and model, they even try to explain to you how certain parts work. If you tell them you don't understand, they will explain again, in depth with more detail, which is even more confusing. Either go on Google and learn a little bit or pretend you understand what they are talking about. Oil & Grease White anything is against any mechanics beliefs. I have to clean the walls, counters, appliances, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING at minimum of 3 times a week. They are usually covered from head to toe in oil and grease. Honestly, I thin...

Spring Time Means Allergies!

Sprint time is the worst season for me. I hate this season honestly. My allergies are horrible during spring, like when I say horrible, I mean face swollen, constant nose blowing. The whole awful nine yards. Just the other day, I swear I sneezed about a million and one times and then lost my voice. We just moved into a house that had ben vacant for two months before we moved in, so there was two months of dust accumulated on the floors and walls. Needless to say, my first day in our new house consisted of a lot of sneezing and wheezing. Since spring is just around the corner and that means so are allergies, I made a list of home remedies for allergy relief that has really helped me and hopefully will help you too. Honey Local raw honey, it builds your immune system up to what's around you. You can get this at places like Whole Foods. Make sure it is local honey though.
