2 1/2 months old already?!

My mom wasn't kidding when she said "Enjoy her now, they grow up fast." Oh man, it seems like I just brought her home from the hospital yesterday and now she's already almost 3 months old?! WHAT?!
*Crying hysterically*
I don't like this. At all.
Breath jessie, ohhh ahhhh.

SHE OUT GREW ALL HER NEWBORN CLOTHES!!!
As of her last pediatrician appointment which was on the 10th of this month, she weighed 9.10 lbs and was 21.75 inches long!
She is actually in between clothes sizes. Newborn clothes don't fit her length wise because she is too long but the next size up is too wide but fits her length wise. Good thing I am a crafty momma and can sew!

It's amazing what little baby brains can learn in such a short period of time.
Averie Smiles when you smile at her, when you eat her hands and she also smiles at ceiling fans. Yup, ceiling fans, she loves them! She tries really hard to laugh but it comes out as a squeal. cutest thing ever. She notices things now. Like her hands. She will hold one up and just examine it for about 15 minutes, turning it around and opening her fingers. She can also pull herself up when I hold on to her hands. She wants to do it all time just so she can look at her feet. LOL! Oh and she pretty much has the whole holding her head up thing down!
You are getting so smart.

Her Likes:
-Momma & Daddy of course
-The Boob/bottle
-Being changed (She thinks its hilarious)
-Her play mat
-Snow white (She will sit there and watch a solid 30 minutes straight)
-Her keys
-Music (I play music for her when she goes to sleep and she wakes up if the music turns off)

Her Dislikes:
-Drying her off after her bath
-When you take the bottle away to burp her and she knows there is still formula in the bottle

(She doesn't have too many dislikes really, except for when she is grumpy, then she dislikes everything!)

Here's a story for ya. When I worked at an assisted living home, I was taking care of this 97 year old woman from France. When I told her I was pregnant, she was so excited. She use to work as a pediatrics nurse. When I was about 6 months pregnant, I told her that I was leaving and she cried. She made me promise to come back and see her after I have Averie so she could meet her, well after I had her, I messaged the director of my old work place and asked if I can come in to introduce my baby to Henriette (the resident I took care of) and I was informed that she no longer lived there. I couldn't find out from anyone where she was or if she was even still on this earth. After 2 months, I remembered that I had the number of someone else who use to take care of her so I contacted her and she responded and told me that Henriette was still alive and was living in a group home. Henriette at 97 years old, had major back surgery and made a full recovery and is still walking! I don't think I could of lived with myself if I had broken that promise to introduce her and my daughter. But just last week I went to her group home so she could meet Averie and she was so excited!
She held her the entire time I was there and talked her about how she use to talk to her while I was pregnant with her, how much I ate when I was pregnant with her & how she has an amazing momma. Henriette introduced herself to Averie as her 'Grandma Henriette'. (More like great great great grandma. There is a 97 year difference between them.)

Averie, you are growing up too fast for my taste. Erich keeps telling me, "I can't wait till she is bigger and can walk." I respond with," WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! She is suppose to stay tiny forever!"

Stop getting bigger baby girl or I'm going to have to squish you back to being tiny!

Married To A Mechanic: 8 things to expect. 🔧

Since I've started blogging, I've only blogged about my husband personally like once or twice, so this is dedicated to my mechanic husband. Erich has been working on cars since he was about 14 years old, so 20 years. He does it for a living but on diesels. He does it in hi spare time as well so basically, all the freaking time. Here's what to expect if you date a mechanic. Car Talk Mechanics talk about cars like 24/7; Parts, make and model, they even try to explain to you how certain parts work. If you tell them you don't understand, they will explain again, in depth with more detail, which is even more confusing. Either go on Google and learn a little bit or pretend you understand what they are talking about. Oil & Grease White anything is against any mechanics beliefs. I have to clean the walls, counters, appliances, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING at minimum of 3 times a week. They are usually covered from head to toe in oil and grease. Honestly, I thin...

Spring Time Means Allergies!

Sprint time is the worst season for me. I hate this season honestly. My allergies are horrible during spring, like when I say horrible, I mean face swollen, constant nose blowing. The whole awful nine yards. Just the other day, I swear I sneezed about a million and one times and then lost my voice. We just moved into a house that had ben vacant for two months before we moved in, so there was two months of dust accumulated on the floors and walls. Needless to say, my first day in our new house consisted of a lot of sneezing and wheezing. Since spring is just around the corner and that means so are allergies, I made a list of home remedies for allergy relief that has really helped me and hopefully will help you too. Honey Local raw honey, it builds your immune system up to what's around you. You can get this at places like Whole Foods. Make sure it is local honey though. Vitamin C Vitamin C is a natural antihistamine an, anti-oxidant and antitoxin. Flavonoids Flavono...
