Story Time

There is a question that I have been asked a lot in the past 2 and a half years.
That question is,
"How did you and Erich meet and start dating?"

Every time I am asked this, I can't help but laugh. It's a very interesting story.

In 2011 I got a job as an over night cashier at Wal-mart (the reason I hate retail now), after a few months of working there, Erich got a job as a day time employee, eventually getting the daytime customer service manager position.. I didn't officially meet meet him until a few months later....
For months I had been working my rear end off to be considered for the graveyard Customer service manager position that was open. When I say worked I mean I worked hard, I stayed over time often (do you know how awful it is to work over time when you already work grave yard?!), I was always willing to learn anything about any department, was never late, I did everything to prove that I was right for this position. After taking the Manager test and passing it, I was under the influence by some assistant managers that I was more than likely going to get this job. I was even in training for it already... Well come to find out, someone else came in and stole it from me. This is how I met Erich!
They ended up giving him this position over me. I was beyond pissed. I had worked so hard and on grave yard! I had also been there 4 months longer than he was so I absolutely could not understand how he could of been a better candidate for this position than I was.
About a month later Erich officially moved to the grave yard shift as my boss. Even though I didn't know him, I hated him. He took my position!
Needless to say, Erich and I did not get a long. I had no respect for him, I didn't talk to him nicely, I even made fun of the way his name was spelled (yeah I know, I was pretty harsh). I just could not stand the fact that someone who had only been working there for a few months and not even on my shift, being my boss.
Anyways, after about a month or two of me constantly arguing with him, one night, he pulled me off my register and told me that I needed to stop being a bitch to him and that he was my boss and I had to treat him like one yadda yadda yadda...
So for the sake of my job, I calmed down a bit. lol
Eventually(Like months) the second manager position on graveyard became available and even though I had been so rude to Erich, he helped me get it. He told the assistant managers that he thinks I was the best one for that position. He trained me in what he was doing as a manager. So then, we became equals. After that, we got along. LOL
So that answers how I met him. Now how we started dating, is another story.
After a few months of us both being managers, we became pretty good friends. We had fun working together, took our breaks together and went to breakfast together. I had no thought of wanting to date him or anything of the sort. (I was near the end of a relationship I was in) Erich started hitting on me and for a while I ignored it, until he came in to work on his day off wearing a suite with a shiny vest! LOL Unfortunately that was my weakness. I'm pretty sure he did that on purpose. I mean, who the heck comes into Wal-mart on their DAY OFF in FANCY clothes at 2 AM?! (He dressed that way for his other job)
After that, the flirting was mutual. Then one thing lead to another and now here I am, married to him and 8 months pregnant with our daughter.

Our relationship has had its difficult times. Definitely tons of ups and downs. But I wouldn't trade any of it for anything!

Married To A Mechanic: 8 things to expect. 🔧

Since I've started blogging, I've only blogged about my husband personally like once or twice, so this is dedicated to my mechanic husband. Erich has been working on cars since he was about 14 years old, so 20 years. He does it for a living but on diesels. He does it in hi spare time as well so basically, all the freaking time. Here's what to expect if you date a mechanic. Car Talk Mechanics talk about cars like 24/7; Parts, make and model, they even try to explain to you how certain parts work. If you tell them you don't understand, they will explain again, in depth with more detail, which is even more confusing. Either go on Google and learn a little bit or pretend you understand what they are talking about. Oil & Grease White anything is against any mechanics beliefs. I have to clean the walls, counters, appliances, PRETTY MUCH EVERYTHING at minimum of 3 times a week. They are usually covered from head to toe in oil and grease. Honestly, I thin...

Spring Time Means Allergies!

Sprint time is the worst season for me. I hate this season honestly. My allergies are horrible during spring, like when I say horrible, I mean face swollen, constant nose blowing. The whole awful nine yards. Just the other day, I swear I sneezed about a million and one times and then lost my voice. We just moved into a house that had ben vacant for two months before we moved in, so there was two months of dust accumulated on the floors and walls. Needless to say, my first day in our new house consisted of a lot of sneezing and wheezing. Since spring is just around the corner and that means so are allergies, I made a list of home remedies for allergy relief that has really helped me and hopefully will help you too. Honey Local raw honey, it builds your immune system up to what's around you. You can get this at places like Whole Foods. Make sure it is local honey though.
